Al Green
Alexander “Al” Green, born September 1, 1947 (age 74), is the Democratic party representative from Texas' 9th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Green was re-elected to an eighth term on November 6, 2018. In the 2018 election, Green won 89 percent of the vote, defeating two independent candidates a Libertarian candidate. No Republican candidate ran.
Green is a sponsor of the communist Medicare for All bill who paid a sexual harassment settlement out of slush fund.
Impeach Trump
A group of six Democratic House members introduced articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump Wednesday November 15, 2017, claiming the president has violated federal law, the public trust and should be charged with high crimes and misdemeanors.
Democratic Reps. Steve Cohen of Tennessee, Luis Gutierrez of Illinois, Al Green of Texas and Adriano Espaillat of New York introduced five articles of impeachment. The articles have two more co-sponsors: Reps. Marcia Fudge of Ohio and John Yarmuth of Kentucky.
The congressmen list a number of charges against the president, including: obstruction of justice, a violation of the Constitution's foreign emoluments clause, a violation of the Constitution's domestic emoluments clause, undermining the federal judiciary process and undermining the press.
The articles focus primarily on Trump's handing of the termination of disgraced FBI director James Comey, and potential conflicts of interest with Trump's businesses and properties while he's served as president.[1]

Rep. Al Green howls about no black faces among the screaming leftist professors
December 5, 2019
Poor Al Green. All that lefty scream-mongering at the congressional impeachment hearings and no minorities to show for it.
According to Fox News, the Texas Democrat actually said this:
A Texas congressman slammed his fellow Democrats Wednesday after "not one person of color" was called as an expert to testify during the first day of impeachment hearings conducted by the House Judiciary Committee.
Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, rebuked his colleagues in a speech on the House floor before the committee hearing began. Three legal scholars later testified at the request of Democrats in the first Judiciary Committee impeachment inquiry hearing. Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University Law School, was the sole witness called by the GOP.
"I rise because I love my country, but I also rise today with heartfelt regrets. It hurts my heart, Mr. Speaker, to see the Judiciary Committee hearing experts on the topic of impeachment — one of the seminal issues of this Congress — hearing experts... and not one person of color among the experts," Green told the House floor.
At first glance, it shows just how obsessed with racial bean-counting your average extremist Democrat in the House is. Maybe there weren't any minorities who wanted to beclown themselves this stupidly. Did you consider that, Al?
More likely, Green is pulling the old Kamala Harris trick of howling about the importance of minority faces when in fact the idea was to promote herself. She'd be the solution to fill that affirmative action slot. There's plenty of evidence to suggest that Green is exactly the same.
Because the sad reality for him is that nobody in the Democratic Party really likes him.
He was calling for impeachment on day one of the Trump administration, quite literally, and nobody paid attention to him.
Here is the story about him that I wrote in February:
Green's been in Congress since 2005, with better than average committee attendence (the one seemingly positive thing about his record), except that it hasn't translated to any significant power in the legislative body. He sits on only one House committee, Maxine Waters' Financial Services Committee, which is run by Maxine, and seems to serve as a dumping ground for all sorts bottom-of-the-barrel nutcases, including socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and far-left anti-Semite Rep. Rashida Tlaib. He sports a perfect 100 rating from Planned Parenthood, and a zero rating from the National Rifle Association, but even that hasn't translated into any political rewards for him. Green also holds congressional Asian-Pacific and congressional Black Caucus memberships, the latter of which is probably his only real source of his power - he has a soapbox.
All those years, and nothing to show for it. The Root, a leading black news site, dismisses him as a figure of fun, uncharitably calling him the "real-life Cro Magnon man."
And so, a sex scandal or two later, what's a dullard with perfect attendence, no power, and titters from the black press to do? He's now making a name for himself, by calling for President Trump's resignation - no matter how absurd the circumstances.
Green went on to create more problems for Democrats with his anti-Trump monomania just five months ago:
Fresh from the messy House bid to condemn President Trump for his tweets, House speaker Nancy Pelosi has another embarrassment on her hands — her inability to control Rep. Al Green, who launched his third impeachment bid against President Trump, failing spectacularly just like the past two times. His measure was squelched, 332-95, which President Trump tweeted gleefully.
That act, from the House's most feeble-minded member, is going to undercut Pelosi own bid to set the stage for impeachment. According to the left-leaning Texas Tribune:
Green's actions were widely dismissed as a rogue campaign with virtually no shot at passing. And some of Green's colleagues have questioned the timing of the push. On July 24, former special counsel Robert Mueller is scheduled to deliver his long-awaited testimony before Congress, an event that some Democrats argue could lay the groundwork for the path to impeachment.
So in other words, "impeachment" was his show, and all he could see was that the far-left whites ran away with it, leaving him in the dust. Now the impeachment committees are all largely white-people affairs as well as the witnesses, which has got to cheese Green off. Seems that when Democrats are really setting their minds to something, their claims to affirmative action go out the window, and they keep things to just the white people, competent or not.
Black and Hispanic support for impeachment is collapsing, which has got to be a double indignity to Green, who's already been shunted to the sidelines as the leftist Big Boys do their thing. A few days ago, I noted this here:
Now Democrats have put all their eggs in the impeachment basket, and not surprisingly, it's an all-white show, with black representatives generally shut out from the important parts. The power rests in an all-white cast of players such as Reps. Adam Schiff, Eric Swalwell, and Jerry Nadler, who represent prosperous and suburban areas. Rep. Maxine Waters is black, and vocally in favor of impeachment, too, but hardly a key player, mostly just mouth.
In any case, the sideshow is entertaining. It's good news to see the private ails of Green rise to the state of discord among Democrats, with Green, who was right on impeachment from day one, now cut out of the action. Yes, let him call them racists - they actually are racist - which puts yet another problem in Nancy Pelosi's lap and who knows, should cost her another slice of the critical-to-Democrats black vote. Keep going, Al...

If you can't beat him, then impeach him?
In 13 months, voters will decide whether or not President Trump will be re-elected. This is what we've done ever since President Washington won re-election in 1792. It's happened every four years, and Americans have done a good job overall.
Why are the Democrats so eager to impeach a man who will be up for re-election soon?
The answer is twofold:
First, they don't think that they will beat him.
Second, they've exhausted all of their options, as Victor Davis Hanson wrote:
Aside from the emotional issue that Democrats, NeverTrumpers, and celebrities loathe Donald Trump, recently Representative Al Green (D-Texas) reminded us why the Democrats are trying to impeach the president rather than just defeat him in the 2020 general election.
"To defeat him at the polls would do history a disservice, would do our nation a disservice," Green said. "I'm concerned that if we don't impeach the president, he will get re-elected."
So are they admitting that they can't beat him on issues? I think so.
Take a look at Democrats.
Are they passing bills to pay reparations to African-Americans or offer free medical care to illegal aliens?
Did they pass a ban on assault weapons or move to confiscate AR-15s?
Have you seen a bill extending Medicare for all?
What happened to the wealth tax or raising income tax rates?
Have they abolished student debt yet?
Is anyone getting free college?
Have they done anything about the Dreamers or the millions here illegally?
In other words, Democrat majorities cannot pass any of those ideas that we keep hearing about in the presidential debates.
So why impeach? It's the political "Hail Mary" of 2019–20!

Third wildcat bid to Impeach Trump leaves Nancy Pelosi with egg all over her face
That Pelosi couldn't stop even this guy from horning in on her impeachment act sends the message that Pelosi's bid will have the same result. Not a good look for a politician who's out to play hardball with President Trump with that Mueller gambit. Up until now she's opposed impeachment bids, knowing very well that a clumsily done one could cost her control of the House in 2020, given the large numbers of red-state Democrats who are seeking to present themselves as moderates to the voters. Green is nothing if not clumsy.
It also comes at a bad time. Pelosi's already under fire for being unable to control her "squad" faction of radical Democratic freshmen — Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib — based on the spats of the past week. In that dustup, Pelosi got labeled a "racist," and President Trump had a field day about the whole thing on Twitter. Now she can't even control Green. Can she control any faction of the Democratic Party? The whole thing calls into question her leadership. She can't seem to lead anyone.
And Green is an unusually stupid member of Congress, which means she couldn't even manipulate a fool. As I argued after his second attempt:
I looked this guy up and nothing out there spoke well for him.
He obviously saw his opportunity again in the wake of the "squad" shambles, and Pelosi admitted to the press that she wasn't happy about it. The Texas Tribune isn't looking upon him kindly for it, either:
When asked whether she supported Green's articles of impeachment, Pelosi granted the motion little legitimacy: "No, I don't. Does that come as a surprise?" On the House floor, Green acknowledged that his persistent attempts to impeach the president without the backing of his own party will not make him the most popular member on Capitol Hill, but he stressed that his efforts are moral, not strategic.
"There are times where you have to do things which are neither safe, nor politic, nor popular," he said. "You have to do it because it's right."
So is there anyone Pelosi can lead? Any reason to keep her as speaker of the House? Party unity, anyone? Her precious Democrats are splitting off in all directions, and Pelosi can't stop them. She must have nothing in the way of carrots or sticks left. They are all going to do what they are going to do, and Pelosi will be left holding the bag.

The anti-Semitism is coming from the left
The mass murderer who opened fire on a Pittsburgh synogogue was an anti-Semite and a rabid Trump hater. Yet that hasn't stopped the left from trying to pin the massacre on Trump as they pin all calamities. Never mind Trump's kind words. Never mind the strong support of him from Israel. Never mind that his favorite daughter is an Orthodox Jew and his three grandchildren are Jewish as well. The desperate logic of Blaming Trump can be read here, here, and here.
And don't forget this unbelievable (and still unapologized-for) tweet here, cited by Clarice Feldman in her column, not only pinning the evil on Trump but blaming the Jews for the attack as well, an amazing feat of disgustingness from the left:
And a word to my fellow American Jews: This president makes this possible. Here. Where you live. I hope the embassy move over there, where you don’t live was worth it.
— Julia Ioffe (@juliaioffe) October 27, 2018
Yet for years it's been obvious the left and its Democrats in office have been the anti-Semite's best friend.
Just weeks ago, we watched as former President Bill Clinton and other top Democrats sat there side-by-side in the front row with open and notorious anti-Semite Louis Farrakhan at Aretha Franklin's funeral. I remember writing at the time:
Seriously, how'd that freak get in there, and why the heck was he seated in the front row, alongside the other so-called leaders of the black "community," such as the just barely past the respectable line Jesse Jackson; Al Sharpton; and America's supposed "first black president"; Bill Clinton?
Jewish Republicans have pointed out that not only has Farrakhan been prominent himself in the Democratic Party, the party itself is loaded with people closely tied to him. They write:
Below, the statement issued by Republican Jewish Coalition executive director Matt Brooks:
Seven long-serving Democrats have close ties with Louis Farrakhan. Each of them should resign.
They include former Nation of Islam employee, Congressman Keith Ellison, who is Deputy Chair of the DNC. Ellison has tried to excuse his 2013 meeting with Farrakhan, while ignoring his more recent meeting with the NOI leader in Farrakhan’s hotel room, in 2015. At least six other Democrats are known to have embraced Farrakhan. These members of Congress - Maxine Waters, Barbara Lee, Danny Davis, Andre Carson, Gregory Meeks, and Al Green - have all, while in office, sat down with Farrakhan for personal meetings.
There can be no question about how abhorrent it is for these Democrats to be connected to Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan is first and foremost a preacher of hate. He preaches about Jewish “control” over the government and media and has claimed to have “pulled a cover off of that Satanic Jew,” saying “your time is up, your world is through.” And those were just the comments from last week.
Anti-Semitism is unacceptable. Farrakhan is the moral equivalent of a leader of the KKK. If it was discovered that members of Congress had met with the leader of the KKK, they would need to resign. In this case, for meeting with, and embracing, Louis Farrakhan, nothing short of resignation is acceptable from these seven Democrats.
Among the Farrakhan minions, Keith Ellison, number two at the Democratic Party, is particularly notorious for his anti-Semitism. According to the Daily Caller:
The man poised to head the Democratic Party was a spokesman for the Nation of Islam well into his 30’s who publicly spewed anti-Semitism and later in life as a Congressional candidate knowingly accepted $50,000 in campaign contributions given and raised by Islamic radicals who openly supported Islamic terrorism and were leaders of front groups for Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.
And once in office as a Congressman, Keith Ellison more than hinted that 9/11 was an inside job carried out to create pretext for war against Muslims – a trope often pushed by anti-Semites who claim Israeli or “Mossad” complicity – by comparing 9/11 to the Reichstag Fire, the infamous 1933 arson of the German Parliament building, which the Nazis pinned on Communists and thus used to gain majority control of the government and establish Nazi Germany.
Don't forget Hillary Clinton, the Democrats' top leader up until recently, famously called a campaign aide a 'f**king Jew bastard.' That, according to the Daily Caller, was supported by three eyewitnesses.
There's the Rev. Jesse Jackson, who called Jews, 'Hymietown' and worse still, there's the Rev. Al Sharpton, instigator of the anti-Semitic Crown Heights riots and anti-Semitic Freddie's Fashion Mart fire, and another Democrat the top Democrats never fail to bow down to. He's still unrepentant. According to the Daily Caller:
Sharpton has also made thinly-veiled references to Jewish people by calling them “diamond merchants” during the aftermath of the Crown Heights riots, which took place in Brooklyn in 1991. Sharpton, who led protests that led to the riots, said at the time “If the Jews want to get it on, tell them to pin their yarmulkes back and come over to my house.”
Oh but that was then, this is now, some Dems may say. Now is sneakier but just as bad. We have Linda Sarsour, who still hangs around with Farrakhan like the other Democrats, but promotes a more sophisticated anti-Semitism, designed to rub out the Jewish state of Israel. According to the New York Post:
An example of how that works came last month in Durham, NC, where the city council passed a resolution banning the local police department from taking part in “military-style training” in Israel. The measure was the result of agitation by Jewish Voice for Peace and its allies in the Black Lives Matter movement. Ostensibly the goal was to push back against a national trend of militarizing law enforcement that is supposedly linked to police shootings of African-Americans. But the real purpose was to score a victory for the BDS movement that would undermine Israel and smear American Jews.
Even Courtney Love, the godawful leftwing rock star of grunge, has been appalled by Sarsour's anti-Semitism and has called her out.
Then there are the smaller players, Democrats who have been poster-children for Democratic efforts to take down Republican presidents, such as Democrat manque Valerie Plame - a raving and unhinged anti-Semite. remember writing this:
Valerie Plame, the non-secret CIA officer who made a big issue of the leak of her name in relation to her opposition to President Bush, and who was vaunted and celebrated as a daring, glamorous superspy on the cover of Vanity Fair, turns out to be a garden-variety anti-Semitic bigot.
And there have been recent incidents, too, as when an MSNBC host called Trump attorney Michael Cohen a 'kikle.'
Some of these people have apologized when they were caught out, but many, such as Farrakhan, who was last seen calling Jews 'termites' have not. Others, such as Sarsour, who insists her efforts to erase the Jewish state have nothing to do with anti-Semitism, make claims to not being anti-Semitic at all.
It's rubbish. We can see what's going on with these efforts to evade responsibility, and carry on with the anti-Semitism unchallenged. And the conclusion is obvious: The left has made itself a fount of anti-Semitism, with all major currents of its poison coming from its direction. Democrats have normalized it, promoted its participants and celebrated its advocates. Now they are trying to pin a hideous massacre by an unhinged monster on Trump. This won't wash.
