Laurence Francis Rooney III (born December 4, 1953) is an American politician and diplomat who was a U.S. Representative for Florida's 19th congressional district from 2017 to 2021. A Republican, he served as the United States Ambassador to the Holy See from 2005 until 2008. Representative Rooney has earned a 95.90% Lifetime Score from the American Conservative Union.

Rooney voted for Biden in 2020.[1]

When President Trump was fighting fraud, Rooney quickly congratulated Biden.[2]

On a positive note, he did not run for re-election in 2020 and was replaced by conservative Byron Donalds.
