Joy Behar

Liberal racist Joy Behar in blackface.[1]

Josephina Victoria "Joy" Behar (née Occhiuto; born October 7, 1942) is a failed stand-up comic who was hired by ABC to co-host the alleged current events talk show The View,[2] along with Whoopi Goldberg. Behar is a staunch liberal Democrat. She also hosted Joy Behar: Say Anything on Current TV.

She is controversial for her hate speech, bigotry, and conspiracy theories.[3] In December 2006, Behar raised the notion that Democrat Senator Tim Johnson's recent health problems were the result of a Republican Party "conspiracy" to retake control of the Senate. When conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked, "Why is everything coming from the liberal perspective a conspiracy?" Behar claimed, "I know what that Party is capable of."[4] She has also claimed that she believes "global warming" causes earthquakes.[5] Behar once dressed up in blackface for the predominantly leftist audience's amusement.[6] A mindless hack, Behar believes the U.S. Senate has been "gerrymandered."[7]

Behar has been accused of transphobia for repeatedly misgendering Caitlyn Jenner.[8]

She has been a guest host for the Larry King Show, where she interviewed Ann Coulter.
