Mark Eugene Amodei, born June 12, 1958 (age 63), is a U.S. Army veteran and current Republican U.S. representative from Nevada's 2nd district, having been elected to the seat in a 2011 special election to fill the vacancy left by Dean Heller's appointment to U.S. Senate by then-governor Brian Sandoval.

U.S. House of Representatives

2011 special election

After RINO Backer Dean Heller was appointed to the U.S. Senate following the resignation of John Ensign, Amodei ran for the seat in the special election held in 2011 and easily won, defeating Democrat Kate Marshall by over 20% of the vote.[2]

Tenure

A proponent of political correctness, Rep. Amodei joined 71 House Republicans (both conservatives and moderate-leaning RINOs) as well as the Democrat majority in voting to remove statues of Civil War-era political figures.[3]

Phony 2019 “pro-impeachment” claims

In late September 2019, after Amodei supported a bi-partisan resolution related to the Trump impeachment,[4] his comments on the matter were taken out of context and twisted by the liberal establishment media, who made it seem like Amodei supported the House impeachment inquiry.[5][6][7] Rep. Amodei ultimately opposed and voted against the impeachment coup.[8]

2020 United States presidential election

Despite overwhelming evidence of election fraud in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, Amodei voted in favor of certifying the "official results", having joined Democrats and Moderate Republicans/RINOs against the challenges for the states of Arizona and Pennsylvania.[9][10]
