Michael Richard "Mike" Pence (born June 7, 1959)[1] former establishment Republican Vice President of the United States and a former Governor of Indiana. He also has been a conservative talk radio host and an attorney. His tenure as Vice President was highly controversial, even among supporters of Donald Trump. He holds several globalist positions and has been frequently accused of being involved in numerous subversive acts which undermined the President's agenda, especially on foreign policy. In addition, he declined to participate in efforts to contest the 2020 election results in several states where irregularities were reported, while also attending Joe Biden's inauguration.[2] For these reasons, if Trump runs again in 2024 it is very unlikely that Pence will be selected as his running mate.

Prior to being governor and vice-president, Pence was one of the more conservative members of Congress, serving in the U.S. Representative from Indiana's 6th congressional district. In the 111th Congress, he served as Chairman of the House Republican Conference. Pence has also been a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Pence was born in Columbus, Indiana on June 7, 1959 to an Irish-Catholic family.[1][3] He was one of six children, and his father was a U.S. Army veteran and gas station-chain owner.[1][3]

Early in his life, Pence was strongly aligned with the Democratic Party and was a Roman Catholic.[1][3] He volunteered for the party while in high school, and he voted for Jimmy Carter in 1980.[1] When Pence was in college he became a born-again Christian through his future wife, Karen.[3] After his conversion, his views shifted towards the right, and after the election of Ronald Reagan as president, Pence became a Republican as he was inspired by Reagan's policies.[1][3][4]

Pence graduated from Hanover College in 1981 with a B.A. in history, and he earned a Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University School of Law in 1986.[1]

Early career

After graduation, Pence became a practicing attorney and started to get involved in politics, first "becoming a precinct committeeman for the Marion County Republican Party."[1] He unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 1988 and 1990, but "learned a valuable lesson in defeat" and "vowed to preach a positive message" after becoming disgusted by his negative attack ads.[1]

Pence served as the president of the Indiana Policy Review Foundation from 1991 to 1993.[1] In 1994, he launched his own conservative talk radio show, and the next year he became a morning show host on television.[1] Pence discontinued both programs in 1999,[1] presumably in preparation for another run for Congress.

In October 2009 Pence defended conservative talk radio, saying:

"To suggest that men and women that are taking a stand for fiscal discipline and traditional values in the national debate today only speak for ‘grassroots activists’ is absurd. As evidenced by the hundreds of thousands that filled town hall meetings this summer and the nearly a million Americans who gathered here in Washington in September. Millions of Americans, Republicans, Democrats and Independents are worried about liberal social policies and runaway federal spending, deficit and debt.

So to my friends in the so-called ‘mainstream media’ I say, ‘conservative talk show hosts may not speak for everybody but they speak for more Americans than you do.’"[5]

U.S. Congress

In 2000, Pence was elected to Congress and reelected in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010.[1] In 2005, he became chairman of the Republican Study Committee, a group representing the most conservative members of the House.[1] The next year, Pence unsuccessfully ran for House minority leader, losing to John Boehner.[1] Pence served as the House Republican Conference Chair during the 111th Congress, which lasted from 2009–2011.[1][6]

In Congress, Pence built a very conservative record, even opposing liberal Republican bills that would increase spending or the size of government, such as No Child Left Behind in 2001, and the Medicare expansion of 2002.[1][3]

He also engaged in a filibuster in an unusual way.[7]

Governor of Indiana

Pence successfully ran for Indiana governor in 2012.[1][3]

Pence's successor, the conservative Mitch Daniels, had been effective in boosting the state's economy, and Pence continued his policies. The Indiana economy continued to improve, and Pence cut taxes by $1.1 billion in 2013, which was the largest tax cut in state history.[1] In addition, Indiana has the seventh lowest tax burden or any state in 2013, and in 2014 Pence signed a law that will decrease the state corporate tax by 1.6 percent by 2021.[3] While liberals expect tax cuts to increase budget deficits, by 2016 Indiana actually had a $2 billion surplus,[1] and unemployment dropped by 3.4 percent since his term began.[3]

Pence became nationally famous in 2015 for initially defending a new religious freedom law for Indiana businesses that would have enabled them to decline services that support the homosexual agenda, such as in being forced to bake a cake for homosexual couples.[1][3] Ultimately, Pence compromised under intense pressure from the liberal media and added protections for sexual orientation into Indiana law.[1][3] While many conservatives considered Pence's move a betrayal, subsequent events showed that Pence did stand up more against the homosexual agenda than virtually any other governor, including other Republicans such as Greg Abbott and Chris Christie.

In addition, Pence is pro-life, and in 2016 he signed a bill into law that stops abortions when the unborn human being has a disability.[1]

2016 GOP vice-presidential nominee

Pence first endorsed Texas Senator Ted Cruz for the Republican presidential nomination, but after businessman Donald Trump became the presumptive GOP nominee, Pence was chosen to be the vice-presidential nominee.[1]

Pence debated Democrat VP nominee Tim Kaine on October 4, 2016, and he gave a much better performance than Kaine.[8][9] This was despite the fact that Kaine interrupted Pence 70 times in the debate.[10] Pence masterfully used his debating skills that he acquired from being a talk radio host while Kaine was hyper and sometimes hard to follow.[11] Even the liberal mainstream media, which holds double standards and loves to bash conservatives, believed that Pence won.[11][12]

The Donald Trump–Mike Pence ticket won the election in a massive, historical upset.[13]

Vice-president

Soon after the election, the conservative Pence replaced the moderate Chris Christie, who is facing serious allegations in a scandal, as the head of Trump's transition team.[14] One of his first decisions as head was to remove every lobbyist, who had been appointed by Christie, from the team, in order to "drain the swamp" in Washington D.C.[15][16] On the same day, the team announced that all Trump Administration officials would be placed under a five-year lobbying ban after leaving, which is much stricter than the ban by the transition team of the previous president, Barack Obama.[17] The transition team under Pence's leadership reportedly completed its work on time and 20 percent under budget.[18]

Vice President Pence became the first vice president in United States history to speak at the annual March for Life march in Washington D.C. in 2017.[19][20]

On February 7, 2017, Pence became the first vice president in United States history to cast a tie-breaking vote in the Senate for confirming a cabinet nominee.[21] He also became the first since 2008 to cast a tie-breaking vote at all.[21]

It was reported in late April 2017 that Pence and eight other Trump Administration cabinet members were participating in a weekly Bible study.[22][23][24] This suggested that the Trump Administration is, at least in part, striving to be under God.[25]

In May 2017, Pence created a PAC, called the "Great America Leadership PAC," to help fund the GOP in upcoming elections, becoming the first sitting vice president to do so.[26]

Vice President Pence played an active and relatively important role in the Trump Administration,[27][28] including representing the administration in foreign countries.[28][29] A July 2017 poll found Pence to be the most popular national political official and the only one with a positive rating – of both Republicans and Democrats – with 45% approving and 44% disapproving.[30] Pence used his role in the Trump Administration to promote socially conservative policies.[31]

Despite his generally conservative positions, Pence was the keynote speaker at a political strategy retreat for the Koch Brothers, who take left-wing positions on several issues, particularly illegal immigration and globalism.[32]

In the early morning hours of January 7, 2021, Pence illegally certified the results of the 2020 presidential election in favor of Democrat candidate Joe Biden, even though Biden illegally benefited from massive amounts of voting fraud committed by the Democrats and their operatives to steal the election from President Trump.[33] In doing so, however, Pence fully exposed himself as being a liberal RINO, effectively ending his political career, as well as a traitor to America. Trump subsequently responded to Pence's betrayal in a statement publicized via Trump's White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino, stating:

Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again![34]

Transition team

As head of the Trump transition team, Pence recommended Dan Coats for DNIMichael Atkinson as Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG), James Mattis as Secretary of Defense, and Dana Boente to head the DOJ-NSD, all later proven anti-Trump Deep State operatives.

On December 22, 2020, Pence spoke at a Turning Point USA event in West Palm Beach, Florida where he told the crowd that “as our election contest continues, I’ll make you a promise. We’re going to keep fighting until every legal vote is counted. We’re going to keep fighting until every illegal vote is thrown out. we’re going to win Georgia, we’re going to save America, and we’ll never stop fighting to make America great again. You watch.”[36]

Despite this, Pence certified the heavily disputed 2020 presidential election results, and attended the inauguration of illegitimate president Joseph Biden in January 2021.

Political philosophy

Pence describes himself as "a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order."[3][37] His political views are strongly influenced by his faith and by Russell Kirk.[3] Pence was an early supporter of the Tea Party movement.[37] On the other hand, Pence has a record of supporting many neoconservative and globalist policies, including high immigration levels,[38] and his record indicates that he is not as conservative on social issues as the mainstream media alleges.[39]

At the October 7, 2020 VP debate (ahead of the elections), ABC's David Muir commented: Pence was very effective in defense of President Trump.[40] CNN's (former Obama's aide) far-left Van Jones: "Pence made conservative ideas look normal. That is to his credit."[41]

Personal life

Pence married his wife Karen in 1985, and together they have three children.[1] As a Christian and out of loyalty to his wife, he refuses to go out to dinner with any woman if his wife is not with him.[42] Liberals, who do not adhere to family values, misunderstood Pence and falsely accused him of "sexism."[43] Despite the fact that Pence is a Christian, he has used shameful, filthy language in public.[44]

Pence warns U.S. troops may have to fight Russia if Ukraine loses war

Pence's remarks come as Congress battles over a litany of spending bills, including the authorization of additional funds to the country.

Rep. Scott explains why an increasing number of Americans oppose the Ukraine warRepresentative Austin Scott (R-GA) breaks down why President Biden is in danger of losing the public’s support for providing U.S. aid to Ukraine.

September 15, 2023

Former Vice President Mike Pence this week warned that Russia will likely encroach on NATO territory and trigger an American military response should it succeed in its efforts to conquer Ukraine.

Several members of the alliance already directly border Russia, though should Moscow annex Ukraine, it would brush up against several more. Pence, during an appearance on NewsNation opined that a bellicose Moscow was likely to cross international boundaries and provoke a conflict with NATO.

"I’m convinced that if the Ukrainian military doesn’t stop and repel that Russian invasion, it’s not going to be too long before that Russian army crosses a border that our men and women in uniform are going to have to go and fight under our NATO Treaty," he said. "I truly believe it. Whether that’s Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania... Poland, I don’t know."

Pence has endorsed continued U.S. aid to Kyiv to bolster its efforts against Russia. That position has become increasingly unpopular, with 55% of Americans opposing further aid in a recent CNN poll.

"Give [Ukraine] the resources that they need to fight and to win and to drive that Russian military back... Because it’s in our interests and I think, ultimately, it’s in the interests of peace and security in the world," Pence asserted.

Former President Donald Trump has vowed to end the conflict within 24 hours should he reclaim the White House, though Pence has contended that such a development would require capitulating to the Kremlin.

Pence's remarks come as Congress battles over a litany of spending bills, including the authorization of additional funds to Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is planning to visit the United States next week amid the legislative fight.

Ukrainian efforts to reclaim territory from Russia have largely been unsuccessful this year. Kyiv is currently embroiled in an ongoing counteroffensive effort that has thus far failed to reclaim significant territory.

“There Will Be an Orderly Transition on January 20th” – BREAKING: President Trump Issues Statement Responding to Electoral Certification

by

President Donald Trump has issued a statement responding to the Electoral Certification through White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino — as he is currently suspended from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

President Trump said that while he “totally disagrees” with the results, there will be a “peaceful transition of power.”

He did not concede.

The statement reads as follows:

“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th. I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

Traitor Mike Pence certified the election results at 3:40 a.m. EST.

BREAKING: Traitor Mike Pence Certifies Biden’s Election ‘Victory’

by

Traitor Mike Pence has certified Joe Biden’s election “victory.”

Pence signed off on the results — 306 electoral votes for Biden and 232 for President Donald Trump — shortly after 3:40 a.m. EST.

On Wednesday afternoon, before outraged patriots stormed the Capitol Building, Pence sent a 2.5 page letter to lawmakers stating that he planned to certify the election of Biden — despite pressure from President Trump to reject the electors in contested states.

“It is my considered judgment that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not,” Pence claimed.

One senator and 80 members of the House opposed certifying the Pennsylvania results, including Rep. Scott Perry who objected to his own state’s electoral votes.

The objection was rejected.

An objection to Arizona lost in House and Senate votes earlier in the evening.

Earlier in the day, after it became clear that Pence would not be standing with Trump voters, the president blasted him on Twitter.

“Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify,” Trump wrote. “USA demands the truth!”

President Trump also called him out during his speech on Wednesday afternoon.

“Mike Pence, I hope you’re going to stand up for the good of our Constitution and for the good of our country,” Trump said during his speech in DC. “And if you’re not, I’m going to be very disappointed in you. I’m going to tell you right now. I’m not hearing good stories.”

Trump added, “I hope Mike has the courage to do what he has to do, and I hope he doesn’t listen to the RINOs and the stupid people that he’s listening to.”

President Trump reportedly told Mike Pence’s Chief of Staff Marc Short that he was “not welcome” at the White House today and banned him from the grounds.

Vice President Mike Pence will be the keynote speaker at pro-mass immigration GOP mega-donors Charles and David Koch’s New York political strategy retreat.

Pence is expected to speak on public policy at the Koch brothers’ retreat, which will be held on Oct. 12 and 13, according to USA Today. The retreat is also to cultivate Republican candidates for the 2018 midterm elections who are in-line with the Kochs’ open borders agenda.

“As a legislator, governor and now vice president, Pence truly understands how good policies can help all Americans improve their lives,” Koch network spokesperson James Davis said in a statement. “Our members are looking forward to insight as we discuss plans to reverse the trajectory toward a two-tiered society and move toward one of mutual benefit, and a brighter future for all.”

Pence’s speaking engagement at the event is at odds with his social conservative history and base of supporters, as the Koch brothers remain heavily supportive of cultural libertarianism, open borders, the importation of cheap foreign labor, and driving down wages for American workers who are forced to compete with a never-ending flood of chain migration.

For example, just this week, the Koch brothers through their Libre Initiative organization threw their weight behind the latest GOP establishment legislation that would give amnesty to potentially 3.3 million illegal aliens, as Breitbart News reported, while spiking a surge at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Pence’s alliance to the pro-open borders Koch brothers in the 2018 midterm elections is also at odds with the populist economic-nationalist movement which helped elect President Trump and supports his “America First” agenda of secure borders, higher wages through less immigration for American workers, and an end to needless free trade initiatives that allow multinational corporations to readily outsource U.S. jobs.

Breitbart News executive chairman Steve Bannon told the New York Times that the populist-nationalist movement’s political strategy for 2018 is centered on promoting the America First agenda through candidates who will challenge the GOP establishment. Bannon and conservative donors Robert and Rebekah Mercer are reportedly seeking to create a coalition and think tank to rival the Koch brothers’ organizations and advance the populist economic nationalist agenda.

“We’ve got a long haul in front of us,” Bannon said. “But look at how the conservative movement and the Republican establishment groomed the guys that the populist, nationalist Trump went through like a scythe through grass. How long had they been groomed?”

Mike Pence Mocks Media Coverage of Trump: ‘This Sh*t Really Is Fun to Watch’

The Associated Press

Republican vice presidential candidate Mike Pence mocked the media hysteria surrounding Donald Trump’s candidacy on Monday night. “Almost every day, they come up with something new and different,” he said at an Ashland, Virginia rally. “They say, ‘Now we’ve got him! Now he said this. We can parse that.'”

“‘He tweeted this!'” Pence continued with a laugh. “And then they think they finally got him, and then they turn on the television the next morning and Donald Trump is still standing stronger than ever before and fighting for the American people.”

“This shit really is fun to watch,” he added.
