The UN Security Council is meeting at Russia's request to discuss what Moscow claims are "the military biological activities of the U.S. on the territory of Ukraine."

The Russian request announced from its deputy UN ambassador follows the Biden administration's rejection of Russian accusations that Ukraine is running chemical and military bio-warfare labs with U.S. support.

Russia has been actively spreading disinformation about the U.S. manufacturing bio-weapons in a bid to shore up support for their invasion of Ukraine, according to the U.S. government. In attacking Ukraine, then, and destroying these labs, President Vladimir Putin justifies his invasion.

"I remember the many times and many contexts about the containers showed by Colin Powell here in this room that became the foundation for the United States going into Iraq which led to a huge level of suffering, victims, and destruction which then reverberated in the whole region, also in the form of a terrorist organization called ISIL," the Russian representative said.

Ukraine's ambassador replied:

Russian Amb to UN calls out Russian false flag bio weapon stories as “insane delirium:” “What else are you going to use against Ukraine? Cruise missiles, multiple rocket launchers, heavy arial bombs? We have already experienced all of this. What’s next? Ammonia, phosphorus?” pic.twitter.com/HojIGrTblp
