Newly declassified email to Obama team said Hunter Biden business dealings “undercut” US efforts to fight corruption in Ukraine

The Free Republic is reporting a bombshell revelation that addresses the conspiracy undertaken to undermine former President Trump by any means necessary, an effort that spilled over from the Obama administration into Trump’s.

A newly released email, which was hidden from the public for five years shows that information was available which may have helped Trump during his first impeachment.

The email cites a top U.S. State Department official in Kyiv, Ukraine, who wrote to Washington officials near the terminus of the Obama administration warning that hunter Biden’s business dealings in the Eastern European nation were undermining U.S. efforts to fight corruption in the country.

The email, dated Nov. 22, 2016, was written by former U.S. embassy official George Kent, who served as one of the Democrats’ key witness in the first impeachment hearing held in the House by obsessed Democrats.

The email was classified as “confidential,” the lowest level of secrecy, by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, another “star” witness in the impeachment proceedings for the Democrats. That email was not turned over to House lawmakers during the impeachment fiasco.

In clear violation of federal law, the State Department failed to acknowledge the existence of the document to either the court or to media outlets which had requested it in a number of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits filed against that agency, which sought records on Hunter and Joe Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine.

Moreover, the email’s message is in direct conflict with the messages being pushed by the mainstream media, State Department witnesses, and Democratic congressmen to the public two years ago.

As a refresher, all claimed that Hunter Biden’s lucrative job on the board of directors of Burisma, a corrupt Ukrainian energy company, a position which appeared to be a clear conflict of interest, had zero impact on efforts of the United States to fight corruption in that country.

“The real issue to my mind was that someone in Washington needed to engage VP Biden quietly and say that his son Hunter’s presence on the Burisma board undercut the anti-corruption message the VP and we were advancing in Ukraine,” Kent wrote in the email to a number of high-ranking officials in the State Department in Washington, D.C.

Among those on the email distribution list was Jorgan K. Andrews, then the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.

The email described an intense pressure campaign by advocates for Burisma, which included a former U.S. ambassador,” to “rehabilitate” the Ukrainian company’s corrupt reputation and to twist the arms of Ukraine prosecutors to drop their criminal investigations of the company.

Kent also wrote to the higher-ups that he had confirmed with Ukrainian prosecutors that officials of Burisma had paid a $7 million “bribe” to help one of the cases against the company go away. The bribe was allegedly paid while Hunter Biden was serving on Burisma’s board, a position which earned him over $3 million from the company.

Free Republic noted that this was merely not “another minor email drop.” Rather, there are tremendous implications, not only  for past officials but also the current regime.

It appears that due to the speed at which the Obama administration quickly covered up Ukrainian corruption involving Hunter Biden, that seems to indicate that they were planning to use Ukraine against Trump. It didn’t appear this was merely about protecting Joe and Hunter Biden; it was to set a trap for Trump.

Clearly, they knew that once Trump became president he would want to have dealings between Hunter Biden and Burisma investigated, especially if Joe Biden eventually decided to run for president.

It appeared they were trying to protect their future witnesses for a possible impeachment pristine, which meant hiding the fact they were aware of Ukraine’s concerns and then acted like those concerns were ill-founded.

Even if it assumed that this was all done not to take down Trump but to engage in a cover-up to protect Biden, that would be bad enough.

However as noted in the Free Republic story, the “conniving nature of the Obama regime” indicates that “it’s very likely they knew Burisma-Biden would be a thread the Trump administration would tug on,” so they used that as a “Plan B” if you will, in case the Russia collusion story didn’t take hold in removing Trump, which it did not.

This seems to make sense, especially given the timing—the call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the “whistleblowing” of that call by Eric Ciaramella, a CIA operative, along with the downfall of the special prosecutor investigation of Robert Mueller. The timing seems to be too perfect.

This email seems to work as vindication for Trump’s call with Zelensky, while also exposing those witnesses Democrats used in an effort to impeach him.

On Wednesday, the Senate released a report that concluded that former Vice President and current presidential candidate Joe Biden allowed his son, Hunter, and other members of his family to use his official position in order to augment their income through contacts with foreign companies and governments.

According to the report, obtained by Breitbart News, apparently the Obama administration was aware of the likely conflict of interest which occurred when Hunter Biden was appointed to the board of Burisma Holdings, a corrupt energy company in Ukraine.

It bets better than that, however. Or worse, depending on your perspective. The report goes on to state that email evidence showed that Obama’s Secretary of State, John Kerry was also aware of the conflicts of interest. Why was that important? Kerry’s stepson, Chris Heinz, was one of Hunter Biden’s business partners.

The report says:

“Hunter Biden, his family, and [business partner Devon] Archer received millions of dollars from foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds.”

It continued that Hunter Biden had gone on a “$100,000 global spending spree with James Biden and Sara Biden” after receiving money from a Chinese investor. It should be noted that James Biden is Joe Biden’s brother, who is married to Sara.

More disturbing, it added that Hunter Biden appeared to have paid women who were linked to an “Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.”

In fact, a left-leaning website, Mother Jones, actually went into a detailed accounting of Jim and Hunter Biden’s business relationships earlier this year. It also detailed how Jim Biden had leveraged his brother’s political power to assist him in his business ventures.

So, the information about nefarious business dealings involving the two is not only from right-leaning sources. The report was originally published by ProPublica, which is a nonprofit that investigates abuses of power. In fact, the title and subtitle of the story is informative: “The Benefits of Being Joe Biden’s Brother.”

The teaser for the story read, “Jim Biden repeatedly tapped into Joe’s political network for help with his finances and to promote his business ventures.”

The Senate report went on:

“The records acquired by the Committees show consistent, significant, and extensive financial connections among and between Hunter Biden, James Biden, Sara Biden, Devon Archer and Chines nationals connected to the Communist regime and [People’s Liberation Army] as well as other foreign nationals with questionable backgrounds.”

The investigation was reported by Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI), of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) of the Senate Committee on Finance, and was launched in August 2019—prior to the impeachment inquiry.

It was launched relative to a report called the “Henniges transaction,” where a company tied to the Chinese state bought an American company that makes so-called “anti-vibration technologies with military applications.” Ironically (or not), one of the companies involved in the transaction was Bohai Harvest RST (BHR), a Chinese-funded investment company in which Hunter Biden owns a stake.

The Senate report went on to divulge “examples of extensive and complex financial transactions involving the Bidens,” while also explaining that it wasn’t only Hunter Biden who “cashed in on Joe Biden’s vice presidency.”

Even more infuriating is Hunter Biden’s jet-setting overseas had him enjoy protection from the Secret Service, which continued even after he joined the board of Burisma.

The Senate report concluded:

The records acquired by the Committees show that Hunter Biden and his family were involved in a vast financial network that connected them to foreign nationals and foreign governments across the globe.

Hunter Biden and Archer, in particular, formed significant and consistent financial relationships with the corrupt oligarch, Mykola Zlochevsky during their time working for Burisma and their firms made millions of dollars from that association while Joe Biden was vice president and the public face of the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy.

Rosement Seneca Thornton, an investment firm co-founded by Hunter Biden, received $2.5 million in a wire transfer from Elena Baturina, who allegedly received illegal construction contracts from her husband, the former mayor of Moscow.

Moreover, archer’s apparent receipt of money for a car from Kenges Rakishev of Kazachstan while Vice President Biden was in Kyiv is especially concerning in light of the timing. And finally, Biden and Archer’s work with Chines nationals connected to the Communist regime illustrate the deep financial connections that accelerated while his father was vice president and continued after he left office.

According to the report, both Joe Biden and John Kerry were notified of the conflicts of interest inherent in Hunter Biden’s Ukrainian role:

Former Secretary Kerry’s December 2019 denial of having any knowledge about Hunter Biden or Burisma is inconsistent with the evidence uncovered by the Committees. Kerry was briefed about Hunter Biden, Burisma, and Heinz the day after Burisma announced Hunter Biden joined its board.

Additionally, Secretary Kerry’s senior advisor sent him press clips and articles relating to Hunter Biden’s board membership. This appears to be yet another example of high-ranking Obama administration official blatantly ignoring Hunter Biden’s association with Burisma.

 The Republican committees also slammed Democrat’s attempts to falsely link the Senate investigations to so-called foreign influence campaigns—think “Russia collusion!”

In the ultimate display of hypocrisy, Democrats, the report said, relied on foreign nationals who have an interest in influencing American politics themselves for that information.

Ironically, Hunter Biden spoke in August at the Democratic National Convention, claiming that his father would bring honesty to the White House.
